Where we get the venue data from
Some venues in our directory do not have an account here yet. Their entries were built from publicly available sources, so that a band planning a tour can see which stages a city has in the first place. Every such entry is clearly marked and can be removed with one click.
Where the data comes from
- Venue identity, city and address — from Wikidata when a matching CC0 record exists, or from the venue's official website or official public profile. Each listing links to the source actually used.
- Contact details — from the venue's official website or official public profile, read on the day shown on the entry as “checked”.
We do not copy marketing descriptions, photos or logos. We publish only the directory facts listed below. Nor do we list any deal terms (fees or door splits) unless the venue supplies them through its own account.
What data we publish
The venue's name, city, type (club, cultural centre, concert hall), address, website address and institutional contact details — that is, a general mailbox and the main office phone number.
We deliberately do not publish addresses assigned to specific people (like name.surname@venue.com) or private phone numbers, even when they appear on the venue's website. Addresses of that kind are rejected automatically at import.
Legal basis
We process the data on the basis of article 6(1)(f) GDPR — a legitimate interest in running a trade directory of live music venues. The controller is Localize.pl Agenor Hofmann-Delbor, NIP 9551885714.
We provide this notice in this form on the basis of article 14(5)(b) GDPR — notifying every venue individually would take a disproportionate effort, so the notice is publicly available at this address and linked directly from every entry.
Your rights
- Objection and removal of the entry (article 21 GDPR) — every entry without an account carries a link reading “I don't want this entry — remove it”. We remove it immediately, without asking why, and the entry does not come back with later database updates.
- Rectification (article 16 GDPR) — write to info@letsplayagig.com and we will correct the data or point to the source it came from.
- Claiming the entry — if you represent the venue, you can create a free account and take the entry over. From then on you decide what it says, and we stop updating it from the registers.
- Complaint — you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for data protection in your country.
